Food Bank Partners with Auto Show

A portion of the $7.00 advance sale tickets for this year’s Auto Show will be donated to the Food Bank of Western New York, the Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Assn. announced this week. The advance ticket sale represents a $1.00 savings off the gate tickets.  Tickets for the 2009 Auto Show are currently available for sale at 45 Tops Friendly Markets locations in WNY and at all Wilson Farms locations.  The auto show will be held February 4-8 at the Buffalo Convention Center.

Chevrolet Hydrogen Powered Equinox

Auto enthusiasts will be treated to a look at the Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell at the
2009 Buffalo Auto Show, February 4-8. At Last year’s Washington Auto Show, the
Equinox Fuel Cell was honored with Green Car Journal's Green Car Vision Award,
the first time the magazine has recognized a limited production vehicle for its
forward-thinking technologies.

Sponge Bob & Patrick Surface

After a six-year absence, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob Squarepants returns, reprising
his 100th Anniversary Auto Show visit. This time his buddy Patrick will make the
seaworthy experience with him. They both drop anchor Friday, Feb. 6 through
Sunday Feb. 8 surfacing for their fans Friday from 6 to 8 P.M., Saturday 1 to 5 P.M.
and Sunday noon to 3 P.M. at the Buffalo Convention Center. They are both
bubbling to have their picture taken, say “Ahoy Matey”, or just flub around with
your favorite porous pal and fishstar.

Sabres Stars From The Past & Present

Kicking off “Super Stars” Thursday at the 2009 Buffalo Auto Show, will be a
typically “lively” live broadcast of “Schopp & the Bulldog” with the latest scoop on
everything and anything we care about from 3 to 7 P.M. Watch out for the action,
because between 6 and 6:30 P.M. Rob Ray & Ruben Brown go nose-to-nose during
a live taping of their popular TV show, “The Enforcers” for Time Warner Sports Net.
And as we all know “surprises” are guaranteed.

UB Appreication Day

Sunday, Feb. 8 is an exceptional day at the 2009 Buffalo Auto Show. For many
reasons, not the least of which is the growing reputation of achievement on a
national level for our University of Buffalo, the Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers
have designated this last day of the Show, Sunday, Feb. 8 as “UB Appreciation
Day”.

Super 6 Car-A-Day Contest

Visitors to the 2009 Buffalo Auto Show will have a chance to win one of ten new
vehicles in the “Chance to Win a Car-a-Day” contest at the Buffalo-Niagara
Convention Center Feb. 8-12 event. Joining four new General Motors vehicles are

09 Malibu gets "Tricked Out" Makeover

At the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas, a top
event for automotive specialty products, a team of automotive builder-designers
from Grand Island won their third top honor from General Motors engineers for an
exotic makeover of a Saturn VUE.

Major WNY Safe Driving Campaign

The Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association and a consortium of law
enforcement agencies, county and state agencies, school districts and media will
host an event at the 2009 Buffalo Auto Show that will launch a unique Safe Driving
Program for Western New Yorkers and in particular high school students. The Show
long introduction will offer the public a ride in a unique vehicle, one equipped with
Drive Square, a new computer-controlled driving system able to simulate different
environments.

Mobility Experience

A tour of “The Mobility Experience” room at the 2009 Buffalo Auto Show will provide
opportunities to learn about the many available state-of-the art adaptive equipment
and technology that can enhance the independence of physically challenged people
for thousands of Western New Yorkers.
